About binday
binday answers one question: which bin goes out this week. It reads each council's own published collection data, so you don't have to find your council's lookup page.
Where the data comes from
Each result links to the council source it came from. Where a council publishes a calendar instead of a lookup, we enter it by hand and check every date against the printed calendar. Councils can move collections on public holidays; their notices always win.
Privacy
Your address is remembered on your device so the answer is there next time. We look addresses up with the council and keep the result to make repeat lookups fast. We don't sell data or track you across sites.
When you answer "Did your bins get collected?" or send a report, we may ask for your location once, to check you're in or within 2 km of your council. We don't store or log your location: we keep only whether it matched.
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you.
binday never emails you a link. Council staff who sign in get a six-digit code instead.
